You will work alongside experienced installers, assist throughout the installation, and develop the skills required to take on more responsibility.

What the Job Actually Involves

This is a physically active job involving tools, materials, concrete preparation, coating application, cleanup, and local travel.

You will:

  • Assist the Lead Installer
  • Load and unload tools and materials
  • Prepare and protect the jobsite
  • Assist with concrete grinding and surface preparation
  • Help complete crack and surface repairs
  • Assist with material mixing and coating application
  • Help maintain clean tools and equipment
  • Keep the jobsite organized
  • Protect the customer's property
  • Follow safety procedures
  • Travel locally to customer jobsites
  • Learn Floortek's complete installation process

A Realistic Day

Your crew will prepare the equipment and materials before traveling to the assigned jobsite.

At the project, you may assist with grinding, vacuuming, repairs, material preparation, coating application, flake broadcast, cleanup, and equipment loading.

The work requires standing, lifting, bending, kneeling, and working around tools and equipment. Projects may take place indoors or outdoors.

Training

You will receive hands-on instruction covering:

  • Jobsite setup
  • Surface preparation
  • Crack repair
  • Safe equipment use
  • Material handling
  • Coating application
  • Cleanup
  • Quality standards
  • Customer-property protection
  • Floortek safety procedures

Experience in construction, flooring, painting, coatings, or another skilled trade is helpful but not required for every applicant.
